From February 28 to March 2, IPADE hosted the 2018 International Sessions for the Senior Management Programs (AD-2, AD and D-1) at its campus in Mexico City. Hosted in partnership with The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, the event provided current IPADE Executive Education participants from IPADE’s various campuses with the opportunity to participate in a series of interactive sessions facilitated by visiting professors from Wharton. Additionally, students were able to interact with their classmates from other campuses while enjoying three days of learning, improving, and networking.
“At IPADE, we seek to advance and innovate, but all while remaining faithful to our identity and our fundamental belief that each company is foremost an organization of people. In the years to come, we will continue to focus on encouraging innovation that aligns with our values,” said Dean Rafael Gómez Nava in his welcome to participants. “These sessions seek to emphasize one of the guiding principles here at IPADE: humanism in business. Interpersonal skills, as well as effective judgment and leadership, are more relevant than ever in our modern world of information overload.”
The 2018 event was structured within the conceptual framework “The impact of an interconnected world,” with sessions focusing more on soft skills, including “Goals and Grit,” “Influence and Persuasion,” “Emotional Intelligence,” and “Authentic Leadership.” The following professors from Wharton participated in the event: Dr. Annie McKee, Senior Fellow and Director of GSE’s PennCLO Executive Doctoral Program; Caroline Miller, MAPP and contributor to the Wharton Executive Education program; Professor Jonathan Doh, the Herbert G. Rammrath Endowed Chair in International Business at the Villanova University School of Business; Dr. Kathy Pearson, adjunct Associate Professor in the Operations and Information Management Department; Dr. Mario Moussa, President, Moussa Consulting and contributor to the Wharton Executive Education program; and Todd Henshaw, Director of Executive Leadership Programs and former Director of Military Leadership, West Point.
Partner institutions for past editions of the International Sessions have included Columbia Business School and the Kellogg School of Management. For more information about IPADE’s international partnerships, click here.
