IPADE welcomed the parents and families of Full-Time MBA (MEDE) participants to the institution’s campus in Mexico City to celebrate Family Day. At IPADE, family is considered to be the most important aspect of each individual’s life, and the purpose of Family Day is to acknowledge each participant’s family and thank them for their support during the MBA process.
The evening event began with a tour of IPADE’s Mexico City campus, followed by a warm welcome from Dean Rafael Gómez Nava.
“Family Day is an opportunity to connect with the families that have provided so much support to our students, their sons and daughters, during the MEDE process,” said Dean Gómez Nava. “It’s an opportunity to say welcome, welcome everyone. IPADE is also your home.”
During his welcome remarks, Dean Gómez Nava shared the history of IPADE’s founding with the gathered family members and students, as well as an overview of IPADE as an institution and its values and principles.
“The objective of the MEDE program isn’t just to train [our students] to make money,” said Dean Gómez Nava, “but rather to train and transform our students. To train our students to have an impact not just on their company, but also on society.”
Family Day 2017 provided participants’ families with the opportunity to see where their children have spent so much time and learned so much over the past year and a half. Additionally, family members had the opportunity to peek into the academic lives of their children by participating in two sessions led by IPADE professors, as well as networking and engaging with other participants and their families during the event.
The evening concluded with a dinner for all MEDE participants and their families hosted on the Azcapotzalco Terrace. The Class of 2017 will have the special honor of graduating during IPADE’s 50th Anniversary.
