- The accreditation recognizes three of the fundamental pillars that uphold IPADE’s mission: a focus on the practice of business, internationalization, and social responsibility and sustainability.
- This recognition of excellence has led IPADE to become part of the select group of international schools holding the three most important accreditations in the academic world all at once.
IPADE Business School has been awarded the EQUIS accreditation (the European Quality Improvement System) after achieving ten international quality standards in governance, programs, students, Faculty, research, internationalization, ethics, accountability and sustainability, and engagement with the world of practice.
With this recognition, IPADE has now become one of the less than twenty business schools accredited by EQUIS in North America, joining a select group of schools — around 1% worldwide — that hold the three most important academic accreditations all at once: EQUIS, AMBA, and AACSB.
“As set out in its mission statement, IPADE strives to achieve three fundamental goals that have now been recognized by this accreditation: internationalization, an emphasis on practice, and social responsibility. And this reaffirms their validity, their relevance, and their significance for the current reality of the business community”, said Lorenzo Fernández Alonso, Dean of IPADE.
One of IPADE’s key elements that have now been endorsed by EQUIS is its close ties with practice within the business community, with the executive education programs aimed at senior managers requiring our Faculty to remain closely linked to the world of practice: “Our Faculty members have about 22 years of executive management experience on average, 86% of them have extensive consulting experience, and 67% serve on company boards”, the Dean pointed out.
Another key element is the school’s focus on internationalization, which is reflected in IPADE’s curriculum and in various features built into them, including the International Weeks, the required student exchange programs, the international trips, and the international competitions, all aimed at further nurturing a global mindset among participants. IPADE currently maintains over 90 academic partnerships with schools from all over the world.
Also, ethics, social responsibility, and sustainability have a substantial presence in IPADE’s Academic Programs, its open research lines, the day-to-day management of the institution, and its relationship with the local, national, and global communities. IPADE has participated in key global initiatives since 2010, including the Global Compact and the Principles of Responsible Management Education (PRME). And since 2015, it has been working with the World Economic Forum and the Vatican on issues related to Inclusive Growth.
“This achievement fills us with pride and joy, and it reaffirms our commitment to the business community and to the quality of all the Programs we offer across IPADE’s three campuses: CDMX, Monterrey, and Guadalajara,” said Lorenzo Fernández.
