On July 8, the IPADE Monterrey community celebrated the graduation of the fifth Full-time MBA (MEDE) Class of 2016. The ceremony took place in front of faculty and a full house of invited family members and friends.
The event began with a welcome message from the head of the MBA Program, Antonio Sancho y Maldonado, and an introduction of the Academic Executive Committee, consisting of Rafael Gómez Nava, Dean of IPADE, Lorenzo Fernández Alonso, Director of the Monterrey Campus, Ernesto Bolio Barajas, Corporate Director of the MBA Program, Ricardo Murcio Rodríguez, Director of the MEDE Program in Monterrey, and Camilo Posse Velásquez, Director of the Senior Management Private Equity Program and sponsor of the Class of 2016.

Ernesto Bolio Barajas then shared some words on the mission of the graduates:
“We are sure that the members of the Class of 2016 graduating today are committed to helping build a better Mexico, a just Mexico, that we all hope to achieve,” said Bolio. “Each one of you is needed to help make our country a place with conditions that allow all citizens to live their lives with dignity and freedom.”
Dean Rafael Gómez Nava concluded the series of speeches, exhorting graduates to remain focused on balance in their lives and on service to others:
“Enjoy your lives, dear graduates, enjoy your freedom, the wonder of your freedom, while always remembering that responsibility comes with freedom. We here at IPADE hope that you go on to live well-balanced lives, as it is always possible to achieve professional success and personal fulfillment. Always remember that IPADE’s doors are open to you, and rather than saying goodbye, I would like to welcome you to the IPADE community.”
The graduates then took an oath accepting to conform to the ethics of their profession, and received their mortarboard and diploma from the Academic Executive Council, confirming them as Masters in Business Administration.
The 44 graduates of the MBA Program in Monterrey have accepted offers from a variety of high-profile firms at the management level, both in Monterrey and elsewhere.
