In April, teams from business school programs around the world gathered in Chicago to compete in the Peeptrade University Challenge, a competition that gives MBA students the chance to manage real investment portfolios funded with real money. IPADE was represented by five participants from the Full-time MBA (MEDE) program at the 2017 event.
“We know that young people are the future of financial markets, and we want to give these young people the chance to gain real experience managing investment portfolios,” said Juan José Mendoza, Founder and CEO of Peeptrade, an online social network for stock investors.
The competing teams performed all of the responsibilities of a portfolio manager, working with a real investment portfolio to provide the best results possible.
A week after the competition, the IPADE team met with Juan José Mendoza and Alexis Kretchmar, Professor in IPADE’s Financial Management Department, to share their experience during the Peeptrade University Challenge.
The members of the IPADE team are:
Felipe Kuhlmann Latapí
James Peter Mc Carthy Tolentino
Diego Magallón Contreras
José Manuel Pérez Cárdenas
