Ernesto Bolio (Corporate Director of the Full-Time MBA Program at IPADE Business School), successfully defended his doctoral thesis entitled “The role of the Board of Directors in the CEO succession in the family firm”.
The professors of A. B. Freeman School of Business – Tulane University who served as Thesis Committee members were: John M Trapani (PhD. A.B. Freeman School of Business Tulane University), Angelo S DeNisi (PhD. A.B. Freeman School of Business Tulane University), and Scott Graffin (PhD. Terry College of Business, University of Georgia).
The study by Ernesto Bolio, starts from the premise that most family businesses in the world only last until the second and third generation. It states that the main responsibilities of the Board of Directors of any organization are planning, execution and accompaniment in the succession process of the General Directorate.
This research adds information to the world of both the succession of the director, as well as the government bodies of family businesses in Mexico.
Our Institution recognizes the great effort that PhD Ernesto Bolio made to achieve this achievement both personally and professionally. It is a great honor to have a Faculty with the great commitment with the country’s entrepreneurs. Congratulations to Ernesto Bolio!
