On Thursday, September 6, IPADE was proud to host the 11th edition of the ISTMO Forum at its campus in Mexico City. The ISTMO Forum provides an in-person opportunity for business leaders and executives to engage in the philosophical and business discussions posed by ISTMO Magazine, offering a chance to come together in a space that facilitates networking, collaboration, and connection and engage with content that inspires, engages, shares experiences, and encourages personal and professional improvement.
The 2018 edition of the event was focused on the theme “Managing Uncertainty,” an issue that has become increasingly relevant in this day and age. Approximately 300 attendees came together to listen to six keynote sessions and a panel discussion covering topics such as “Strategies in the Face of Uncertainty,” given by Carlos Ruiz, Professor of General Management at IPADE and President of the ISTMO Editorial Board, and “Being a Resilient Leader when Everything Crumbles Around You,” given by Gwenaëlle Gerard, CEO of ResponSable, a company that was severely impacted by the earthquake that struck Mexico City on September 19th, 2017. The audience of businesspeople, academics, and members of the IPADE community also enjoyed talks from Juan Del Cerro, Founder and Director of Disruptivo.tv and Socialab México; Miriam Dávila, Learning Manager at WeWork; Guillermo Quiroz Abed, Independent Consultant for Grupo Financiero Santander and former CFO of Grupo Bimbo; Yvette Mucharraz y Cano, Professor of Human Resource Management at IPADE; as well as a panel discussion with representatives from Kantar Group, one of the world’s largest insight, information, and consultancy groups.
Following the close of the afternoon activities, attendees were invited to a networking cocktail hosted by the event sponsors.
