On February 21 and 22, IPADE hosted the second annual BBVA Challenge, hosted in partnership with BBVA Bancomer, the largest financial institution in Mexico.
More than 90 participants from the IPADE Full-time MBA programs in Mexico City and Monterrey participated in the case study competition, presenting their analysis and findings to an expert panel of judges, including directors from BBVA and IPADE professors.
“IPADE students provide us with a different way of thinking. IPADE MBAs are extremely well prepared, and join the bank with an extremely high-level skill set that is able to challenge the status quo that we have at the bank,” said Enrique Medina, Director of Strategy and Organizational Development at BBVA Bancomer.
The BBVA Challenge provides an excellent opportunity for BBVA Bancomer to interact with top MBA talent and supports the organization’s efforts to recruit IPADE participants to the bank, while also giving those same participants the opportunity to engage with the bank’s top leadership.
“BBVA is the number one financial institution in Mexico, and IPADE is the number one business school,” said Gabriela Arellano, Talent Management Director at BBVA Bancomer. “The partnership between the two institutions is fundamental in helping us to attract the best talent.”
“Bancomer and IPADE have a long history together,” added Jorge Zebadua, Corporate Banking and Governance Head of Strategy and Products with BBVA. “We know that IPADE graduates have the necessary skills. The Full-time MBA is a truly excellent Program that truly prepares its students and allows the bank to hire the talent that it needs.”
